What is the ISO Classification of the Fire District? 

The current ISO Classification of the Fire District is a Class 6. 

I’d like to volunteer - what do I need to do?

If you are interested in volunteering please contact Chief Rickard at (417) 858-3560. You can also come by the District Headquarters located on Hwy 39 just north of Shell Knob. 

How often should I change my smoke detectors?

The National Fire Protection Association recommends smoke detectors be replaced every 10 years.  
Batteries should be replaced every 6 months.  We suggest that when you change your clocks for Daylight Savings that you change your smoke detector batteries as well.  â€‹
